La rana traviesa llevaba una tortuga, el niño iba mirando y el perro miraba las mariposas y luego, la rana traviesa saltó del balde y no vieron ni el niño ni el perro. Iban mirando las mariposas y solo la tortuga fue la que vio. Después le hizo chau a su dueño y se quedó a mirar las mariposas y bichitos y luego, vio una flor maravillosa y se prendió por ella para agarrar el bichito y agarró y poink se cayó. Había sido eso era una avispa y le picó fuertísimo. Aquí fué y se abultó luego su lengua [señalando la escena de la página 9]. Creyó que era un bichito, había sido era avispa.

The mischievous frog was carrying a turtle, the boy was watching and the dog watched the butterflies and then, the mischievous frog jumped out of the bucket and the boy and the dog didn't see it. They were watching the butterflies and only the turtle saw it. Then it said bye to its master and it stayed to watch the butterflies and bugs and then, it saw a wonderful flower and it grab the flower to catch the bug and [the frog] caught [it] and plop! it fell. That was a wasp and it stung it [the frog] really hard. It was here, then its tongue swelled [indicating the scene on page 9]. It thought it was a fly, but it was [actually] a wasp.

Escuchaban pues el ruido y pensaban que venían los señores y no sabían en busca de qué venían y ellos tenían miedo. Por eso querían esconderse en el pozo y temblaban, temían que esos señores les llevasen. Luego salieron del pozo y vieron que ya se habían echado todos los árboles. Ellos estaban mirando cómo el señor cortaba el árbol con el hacha y llevaba al camión.

They heard the noise and they thought that the men were coming and they didn't know what they were coming for and they were scared. That's why they wanted to hide in the well and they trembled, they were scared that the men would take them away. Then they left the well and saw that they had already chopped down all the trees. They were watching as the man cut down the tree with the axe and carried it to the truck.

Depués sique salieron y encontaron que esos árboles ya se habían cortado todo de ellos y después sique ellos ya estaban tristes porque vieron pues que esos señores ya cortaron todo con hacha sus árboles y luego vieron cómo el señor ya iba cortando el árbol y echó todito el nido del pajarito, el pajarito también estaba triste.

Then they left and found that the trees had all been cut down and then they were sad because then they saw that the men had cut down all their trees with axes and then they saw the man was cutting down the tree and cut down the little bird's whole nest, the bird was also sad.

Después sique miraron nuevamente y vieron que ya se fue el camión, iba levantando polvareda por el camino y ahí salieron un poco más de detrás del árbol y vieron que no había quedado nada donde ellos estaban. Lloraron, lamentaron demasiado lo que hicieron esos señores, le dejaron sin casa, los pajaritos también se fueron todos porque ya no había árboles para hacer sus nidos. Pini y Kuri'i quedaron solos.

Then they looked again and they saw that the truck had left, it was blowing up dust on the way and there they came out a bit more from behind the tree and they saw that nothing had remained where they were. They cried, they lamented very much what those men had done, they left them without a home, the little birds also left because there were no more trees to make their nests in. Pini and Kuri'i remained alone.

Then the man came and he was already chopping down more trees. The two little pigs laid down so they would not be seen; they were trembling, they were so afraid. They were watching the man and they saw how he was knocking down the trees, he looked like he was very mad and he even threw down the nests of the bird. Then Pini and Kuri'i heard the truck's motor again and they looked around and saw that the man was already going, blowing up dust, and taking all the tree trunks in his truck.

Iban por un parque el niño con sus amigos, caminaban y de repente la rana saltó del balde y se quedó por el camino, los otros no vieron que la rana se quedó, seguían caminando por el parque. La rana estaba solita y miraba las flores y vio mariposas y muchos bichitos y sacó su larga lengua para agarrar un bichito para comer y se cayó de espaldas; había sido le picó una avispa.

The boy was going through the park with his friends, they were walking and suddenly the frog jumped from the bucket and stayed on the path, the others didn't see the frog stayed behind, they kept walking through the park. The frog was alone and it was looking at the flowers and it saw butterflies and a lot of bugs and it stuck out its long tongue to grab a bug to eat and it fell onto its back; it turns out that a wasp stung it.
